The Diabetes Virtual Fall Camp 2023 is a 3-week virtual research internship program that invites high school, college, graduate, and professional students, as well as trainees, researchers, physicians, and other health professionals, interested in learning about biomedical research and academic medicine with a focus on diabetes research and care.

Over the past 5 virtual programs and partnering with the American Diabetes Association, more than 1,800 students, including 927 underrepresented minorities, from 38 countries and 48 states in the U.S., representing over 400 colleges around the world, have participated in our free Zoom-based sessions to support the next generation of physicians and scientists.

Many of our students also have diabetes or live with family members with diabetes, and our program has inspired them to better care for themselves as well as those around them.

The upcoming program consists of 14 Zoom sessions highlighting current topics on diabetes research and treatment as well as an academic career path in medicine and science. The sessions are led by 10 renowned diabetes scientists and clinicians, who will share their exciting research programs.

This program is free to all registered attendees. All registered interns must participate in the entire 3-week program to receive a certificate upon completing this virtual internship program.
