A master's candidate must present an article as the first author on more than one occasion at national academic conferences, and submit more than one paper to national or international academic journals during the last semester. A doctoral candidate must publish the key contents of the doctoral dissertation as the equivalent of two publications in prestigious journals in the top 30 percent of the Science Citation Index (SCI), although exceptions can be made for the top 30-percent rule depending on the specific major.
Students who become eligible for the submission of a thesis or dissertation will be conferred their degrees in pharmacy upon completing the defense and oral exam process and submitting the thesis or dissertation according to Ewha’s regulations on the conferment of academic degree.
